Candy Melt Night Sky Toppers

Topped with candy stars and moons, these Candy Melt Night Sky Cupcakes are a great addition to your Halloween party spread or New Year’s Eve celebration.

YOU’LL NEED

Favorite cake mix or recipe

Candy Melts: Orange, Yellow, Bright White

Decorating bags

Decorating tip to outline and fill in shapes (as shown in photo)

Parchment paper

Wilton Icing Pouches, Black

White nonpareils

DIRECTIONS

1.Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool cupcakes in black baking cups.

2.Melt orange, yellow and bright white candy, separately, according to package instructions. Pour melted candy, separately, into three decorating bags. Cut 1/4“ off end of each bag.

3.On parchment paper-covered board, pipe stars (orange and yellow) and moons (bright white). Chill until set, about 10 minutes.

4.Knead icing pouches to warm up frosting. Pipe icing over top of cupcakes, using spatula to smooth. Position candy stars and moons on cupcakes. Top with nonpareils.
