These Grey Moon Cupcakes are over the moon…perfect for a Halloween party or even a midnight New Year’s Eve celebration.
YOU’LL NEED
Favorite chocolate cake mix or recipe (about 4 1/2 cups batter needed)
Wilton Decorator’s Icing, White
-Light Grey Icing (4 cups white decorating icing plus about 2 drops Wilton Color Right black food color)
-Dark Grey Icing (1 cup white decorating icing plus about 4 drops Wilton Color Right black food color)
Wilton Decorating Tip #1A
Color Mist, Black
DIRECTIONS
1.Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool in black cupcake liners.
2.Tint icing light grey and dark grey using color combinations provided.
3.Prepare decorating bag with tip #1A and light grey icing. Cover tops of cupcake with light grey icing.
4.Prepare decorating bag with dark grey icing. Cut 3/8-inch tip off end of bag. Pipe 3 to 4 curved lines on each cupcake.
5.Using spatula, ice cupcakes smooth, blending colors together.
6.Lightly spray cupcakes using black Color Mist.
