Piñata Surprise Cupcakes

Makes 24 cupcakes

Everyone will have fun with their own personal piñata experience! One bite into these cupcakes and the surprise inside will come bursting out for tons of laughter and smiles!

INGREDIENTS

1 pkg (15.25 oz each) DUNCAN HINES Classic Yellow Cake Mix
3 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup water
3/4 cup rainbow sprinkles or small candies
1 container (16 oz each) DUNCAN HINES Classic Vanilla Creamy Home-Style Frosting
Food coloring, if desired

DIRECTIONS

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place liners in 24 muffin cups.

2.Blend cake mix, water, oil, and eggs in a large bowl with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Divide batter evenly into pans. Bake 18 to 21 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove cupcakes from pans and cool completely, about 15 minutes.

3.Cut a 1/2-inch deep circle from the center of each cupcake using a small paring knife. Place about 1 1/2 teaspoons rainbow sprinkles in each hole and top with cut out pieces.

4.Stir a few drops food coloring into frosting, if using, and frost each cupcake.
