From Hershey’s
Makes 2 tarts (8 servings each)

This delicious apple and toffee tart will quickly become one of your favorite fall apple dessert recipes. When the sharp, tart taste of Granny Smith apples meets the buttery sweetness of HEATH BITS O’ BRICKLE Toffee Bits, great things happen.

INGREDIENTS
4 to 6 large tart apples such as Granny Smith
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 Tbsps corn starch or all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 package refrigerated pie crusts (15-oz box), softened as directed on box
1 – 1/3 cups HEATH BITS O’ BRICKLE Toffee Bits (8 oz pkg.), divided
2 tsps granulated sugar, divided or white decorator sugar crystals
sweetened whipped cream or ice cream (optional)

DIRECTIONS
1.Heat oven to 400 degrees. Peel and slice apples into thin slices. Toss apples with granulated sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon.

2.Unroll crusts; place each on ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle 1/3 cup toffee bits over each crust; press lightly into crust.

3.Starting 2 inches from the edge of the crust, arrange apple slices by overlapping slightly in a circular spiral toward the center of the crust. Sprinkle 1/3 cup of remaining toffee bits over each apple center. Fold 2-inch edge of crust over apples. Sprinkle each crust edge with 1 teaspoon sugar crystals.

4.Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until crust is golden. Cool slightly. Serve warm or cool with sweetened whipped cream or ice cream, if desired. 2 tarts (8 servings each).
