Spooky Pretzel Ghouls

From NESTLE

Makes 20 pretzels

So easy for little hands to decorate the faces of these Spooky Pretzel Ghouls. Don’t worry…they might look scary, but are sure sweet to eat!

INGREDIENTS

1 cup (6 ounces) NESTLE TOLL HOUSE Premier White Morsels

1 tablespoon vegetable shortening

20 mini pretzel twists

40 candy eyeballs

DIRECTIONS

1.Line a sheet tray with parchment or wax paper. Set aside.

2.In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the morsels and shortening on HIGH (100%) power for 45 seconds. Stir the mixture. If necessary, microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring just until morsels are melted.

3.Using one pretzel at a time, place a skewer or chopstick into the bottom hole of the pretzel. Dip the pretzel into the melted morsels to coat. Gently tap the skewer on the edge of the bowl to get rid of any excess coating and then place the pretzel on to the lined sheet tray.

4.Place two candy eyes on the upper holes of the pretzel. Use the skewer or chopstick to get rid of any excess coating that may have entered the “mouth.” Repeat steps with remaining pretzels.

5.Let coating set for 15-20 minutes at room temperature prior to serving.
