Red, White & Blue Tie Dye Cupcakes

Makes 1 dozen cupcakes

Go wild with your decorating skills with these fun tie dye cupcakes…so easy to to make, you’ll look like a pro.

INGREDIENTS

1 package PILLSBURY MOIST SUPREME White Premium Cake Mix

Additional ingredients to prepare cake mix per package directions

Red and blue food coloring

1 tub PILLSBURY CREAMY SUPREME White Frosting

DIRECTIONS

1.Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line pan with 12 cupcake liners.

2.Beat cake mix, water, oil, and eggs in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally.

3.Divide batter into three separate bowls, tinting two of the three bowls with food coloring to make blue batter and red batter. Fill prepared cupcake cups two-thirds full, alternating tablespoonfuls of colored batter.

4.Bake 18 to 22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans 10 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.

5.Divide frosting into 3 separate small bowls. Tint one bowl with 2 drops red food coloring and another with 2 drops blue food coloring.

6.Spoon red, blue, and white frostings into one large decorating bag fitted with large star tip, alternating colors while filling bag. Pipe frosting onto cupcakes in circular pattern, beginning at outside edge and moving toward center, to create a swirl.
