Fruity Pretzel Crayons

From BETTY CROCKER

Makes 4 servings

Make this fun version of a crayon to get everyone in back-to-school mode…a fun lunch box snack and easy-to-make craft with the kids!

INGREDIENTS

4 pretzel rods
4 BETTY CROCKER FRUIT ROLL-UPS chewy fruit flavored snacks in various colors (red, blue, green, yellow)

DIRECTIONS

1 Line small platter with cooking parchment paper. Cut pretzel rods in half with serrated knife. Unroll and remove paper from FRUIT ROLL-UPS fruit flavored snacks. Cut each into four 1 1/2 inch wide strips, using various colors.

2 Wrap strip around each pretzel rod half, covering entire pretzel, and pressing gently to attach. Form one end of strip around pretzel to make the crayon tip.

3 Cut thin strips about 2 inches long and 1/4 inch wide, using another color Fruit Roll-Ups fruit flavored snack. Wrap strip around pretzel rod, near the ends, using photo as a guide. Place completed crayons on parchment paper.

TIPS

Make up a few of each color to create your own “box” of crayons. This would also make a fun sorting activity, with an edible treat at the end!

Want to make mini crayons? Instead of pretzel rods, use pretzel sticks, and adjust proportions of Fruit Roll-Ups fruit flavored snacks.
