From PILLSBURY

Makes 12 party poppers

Fun edible party poppers, filled with chocolate “confetti”…a festive and tasty way to ring in the New Year, birthday, or any special ocassion in style!

INGREDIENTS

1 can (8 oz) PILLSBURY refrigerated crescent rolls or 1 can (8 oz) PILLSBURY refrigerated Crescent Dough Sheet

2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips

1 tablespoon butter, melted

1 tablespoon colored candy sprinkles

2 FRUIT ROLL-UPS chewy fruit-flavored rolls, if desired

DIRECTIONS

1.Heat oven to 350 degrees. If using crescent rolls, unroll dough on work surface, and separate into 2 large rectangles. Overlap long sides to form 13- x 7-inch rectangle; firmly press edges and perforations to seal. If using dough sheet, unroll dough on work surface. Cut in half lengthwise with pizza cutter, then cut crosswise across both halves, making 12 smaller (about 3 1/2 x 2 inch) rectangles.

2.Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon mini chocolate chips in center of each small rectangle. Pull the 2 long sides together, and pinch to seal.

3.Pinch each end about 1/2 inch from edges to seal dough. Place seam side down.

4.Cut each end 3 times with kitchen scissors to form a fringe.

5.Brush dough with melted butter, then sprinkle with candy sprinkles. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown.

6.Once poppers cool, cut fruit-flavored snacks into 24 strips, and tie around both ends of each popper.
