Christmas Lights Cookies

Makes 24 cookies

Light up your Christmas celebration with these festive cookies…fun for the entire family to decorate!

INGREDIENTS

1 package (16 oz) refrigerated PILLSBURY Ready to Bake! Sugar Cookie Dough (24 Count)

1 cup PILLSBURY Vanilla Creamy Ready-to-Spread Frosting (from 16-oz container)

BETTY CROCKER Green Gel Food Color

BETTY CROCKER Red Gel Food Color

White sparkling decorating sugar, as desired

BETTY CROCKER Black Cookie Icing (from 7-oz pouch)

24 multicolored gumdrops, cut into smaller pieces to look like lights

DIRECTIONS

1.Heat oven to 350 degrees. Place cookies 2 inches apart on uncreased large cookie sheet.

2.Bake 10 to 14 minutes, or until edges are light golden brown. Cool on cookie sheet 2 minutes: remove to cooling rack to cool completely.

3.Measure 1/3 cup frosting into each of 3 small bowls. Tint 1 green and 1 red with food colors to desired colors; leave remaining bowl white. Spread about 2 teaspoons of any color (red, green, or white) onto each cookie. Lightly sprinkle with sparkling sugar.

4.Using photo as a guide, pipe cookie icing to make light strands and add gumdrop pieces to make lights. Let stand until set, about 30 minutes.
