Almond Hot Chocolate

From the ALMOND BOARD OF CALIFORNIA

Makes 4 servings

For a really luxurious taste, try this with a good-quality chocolate brand and use a hand blender or mixer to make it even more festive and frothy on top!

INGREDIENTS

6 ounces bittersweet or semi-sweet chocolate, chopped

1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa, plus more for garnish

2 cups almond milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

1.Place the chocolate and cocoa in a mixing bowl.

2.Bring almond milk to a boil in a saucepan.

3.Pour over chocolate and cocoa and whisk well to melt and make frothy.

4.Stir in vanilla. If available, use a hand blender or hand mixer to make it even more frothy on top.
