Kids Shamrock Paper Crown

A fun way to celebrate March 17th with this Kids Shamrock Paper Crown…perfect for parties and playdates.

 

YOU’LL NEED

Creatology Construction Paper, Green and White

Craft Smart Temp Mini Glue Gun *ADULT ONLY, if needed

Mini Glue Sticks by Artminds *ADULT ONLY, if needed

Elmer’s Glue

Kid-safe scissors

Creatology Chenille Pipe Cleaners, Assorted Green

 

DIRECTIONS

  1. Twist two chenille pipe cleaners together to make a crown base that will fit around your head.
  2. Cut small squares of green and white construction paper to the size desired to make hearts. Fold in half and draw a half of a heart on the fold. Cut out the shape. Repeat for as many hearts as you want on your crown.
  3. Glue the pointed heart bottoms together to make clovers. TIP: Add layers of hearts for a full clover.
  4. Cut a simple stem and glue at the base of your clover. Repeat for each clover.
  5. Glue clovers to your crown and embellish with glitter glue or more chenille pipe cleaners as shown.

TIP: ADULT: If needed, use hot glue to attach the clovers to the crown base for the child.
