Yellow Birthday Sheet Cake

For a tasty and sweet way to celebrate birthdays with a large crowd, look no further than this classic yellow cake recipe. Topped with creamy home-style vanilla frosting and fun sprinkles, all this cake needs is candles.

INGREDIENTS

PAM Baking Spray
1 pkg (15.25 oz each) DUNCAN HINES Classic Yellow Cake Mix
2 drops red liquid food coloring
1 cup water
3 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 container (16 oz each) DUNCAN HINES Classic Vanilla Creamy Home-Style Frosting
1/2 cup pastel sprinkles, or as needed

DIRECTIONS

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 9” x 13” pan with baking spray.

2.Beat yellow cake mix, water, eggs, and oil in a large bowl with electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes.

3.Pour sheet cake batter onto pan; spread evenly. Bake 23 to 28 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Stir together frosting and food coloring in small bowl. Mix well until desired pink color is achieved.

4.If desired, overturn cake onto serving platter; otherwise, use pan as serving platter. Spread frosting evenly over top of yellow birthday cake, then add sprinkles. Slice and serve for a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
