It’s a beach day with this summer-inspired cake…perfect for your next party.
1 box PILLSBURY MOIST SUPREME White Cake Mix
Ingredients to prepare cake mix
1 tub PILLSBURY FUNFETTI Aqua Blue Vanilla Frosting
1 tub PILLSBURY CREAMY SUPREME Vanilla Frosting
1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
1.Heat oven to 350 degrees.
2.Prepare three 6-inch round baking pans with nonstick spray.
3.Prepare cake batter per package baking instructions; Divide evenly between three pans.
4.Bake for 28 to 32 minutes. Cool 10 minutes in pans, then turn out onto cool rack to cool completely.
5.Level cake layers with serrated knife. Place 1 cake layer on cake plate. Spread Aqua Blue Vanilla icing on top of cake. Top with another cake layer and repeat, leaving the third cake layer un-iced.
6.To make frosting colors, reserve 1/2 of remaining Aqua Blue Vanilla frosting. Mix ½ of plain vanilla frosting with the remaining Aqua Blue Vanilla Frosting. Take ¼ of that and mix it with the remaining plain vanilla frosting. You should have three shades of blue frosting.
7.Spread the darkest icing on the bottom third of the cake. Repeat with the middle shade on the middle third of the cake, and finally the lightest shade on the top and top third of the cake. Using a spatula, smooth the top and sides of the cake so that the colors blend together.
8.Press graham cracker crumbs onto base of cake.
9.Decorate with fish sprinkles.
