YOU’LL NEED
Wax paper (or foil)

DIRECTIONS
1.First, cover your working space with wax paper (or foil) to protect it from uncured clay and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set the baking sheet aside.
2.Next unwrap and knead clay until soft and smooth, or condition by running clay though a pasta machine. TIP: Use a designated machine for clay purposes only. When working with multiple clays, clean hands with baby wipes (or soap and water) before moving to the next.
3.To make the lollipop ornament, first roll 1/8 bar of tan into a rope 1/8″ thick. Cut off pieces that are 1 1/2“ long. Taper one end of the piece to a point for the lollipop sticks. TIP: This will show you how to make two lollipops so make at least two sticks.
4.Bake the clay sticks as following the baking instructions for clay as directed on package and let cool.
5.While the sticks are baking, start making the candy for the lollipops. From 1/8 bar of white, roll a rope 1/4“ thick. Roll the white rope in the glitter, making sure the white rope is evenly coated in the glitter to help keep the Red Hot Red from staining the white. Roll the glittery white into a skinny rope about 1/8″ thick.
6.Take 1/8 bar of Red Hot Red and roll into a long skinny rope about 1/8″ thick. Press the ropes together side by side and make sure they are sticking to each other. Fold the twisted rope in half and then in half again. Roll and twist it to smooth it. Fold the twisted rope in half and then in half again.
7.This time roll and twist it into a long rope a little less than 1/4“ thick. Taper one end of the rope. Cut the rope in half to make one of the lollipops. Where you cut the rope in half, taper one end of that piece also for the second lollipop. Beginning with the tapered end, spiral the rope into a lollipop candy. Make sure all the sides are sticking to each other as you spiral around.
8.Take one of the pre-baked tan sticks and carefully insert it into the candy.
9.Poke a hole in the top of the candy with the blunt point tool. Sprinkle more glitter on the top of the candy, spreading the glitter evenly with your fingertip. Put more glitter on the back as well, then add to your parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
10.To make the candy ornament: from 1/8″ bar of white and 1/8 bar of Red Hot Red, roll out long ropes 6″ long. Flatten the ropes with your roller. Pinch the flat ropes together side by side. Bend the end of the Red Hot Red over the end of the white. Spiral the clays together into a disk shape. TIP: Clean your hands often so that the Red Hot Red transfer onto the white is kept to a minimum.
11.Make another thin, rectangular flat sheet from 1/16″ bar of white. Sprinkle iridescent glitter onto the white sheet. Spread the glitter all over the surface of the sheet with your fingertips. Cut the sheet in half diagonally with the knife tool. Roll the little piece of clay up with the glitter on the outsides. Pinch one end of the piece to a point. Repeat for the second piece as well.
12.Poke two holes in the sides of the candy opposite each other with the blunt point tool. Ream the holes to make them large enough to accommodate the white sheet wrapper pieces. Poke the pinched points of the wrapper from Step 11 into each hole. Dampen the cotton swab with rubbing alcohol. Carefully use the damp tip to remove any Red Hot Red stains from the white.
13.Poke a hole in the candy with the blunt point tool and add to your parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
14.To make the candy cane ornament: Roll 1/4 bar of white into a rope 1/4“ thick and long. Roll the white rope into the glitter covering the outside of the rope. This glitter coating will keep the Red Hot Red from staining the white. Roll 1/4 bar of Red Hot Red into a rope 1/4“ thick and 6″ long. Cut both ropes in half.
15.Assemble the pieces into a little checkerboard log. Press the sides together. Grasp each end of the log and carefully twist the log to make stripes. Keep twisting gently until the striped rope is about 12″ long.
16.Cut the rope into 4” lengths. Bend the 4” piece into a candy cane with the tip of the hook touching the side of the cane (to add ribbon later), then add to your parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
17.Bake the clay ornaments as following the baking instructions for clay as directed on package.
18.When the ornaments are completely cool, add a red ribbon to the loop of the cane. To finish, tie a tiny silver bow around the center of the cane.
