Valentine’s Heart Cake

Give a sweet from the heat with this adorable Valentine’s Heart cake.

INGREDIENTS

1 package PILLSBURY FUNFETTI Valentine’s Day Cake Mix

Additional ingredients to prepare cake mix per package directions

1 container PILLSBURY FUNFETTI Valentine’s Day Vanilla Frosting and Sprinkles

1 container PILLSBURY FUNFETTI Vanilla Frosting

DIRECTIONS

1.Preheat oven to 35 degrees. Prepare package mix according to directions. Pour half the batter into one prepared 8-inch square pan and the other half into a prepared 8-inch round pan. Bake for the estimated time on the package directions for two 8-inch pans.

2.Allow to cool completely before removing from pans. Once cool, cut the round cake in half and place it next to the sides of the square cake that has been positioned as a diamond.

3.Using FUNFETTI Valentine’s Day Vanilla Frosting, spread a layer of frosting between the two sides of the square cake that the round halves will be attached to and press them firmly but gently (this ensures they don’t move while frosting).

4.Using the rest of FUNFETTI Valentine’s Day Vanilla Frosting, frost the cake in an even layer. Fit a drop flower piping tip onto a piping bag and fill it with vanilla frosting. Pipe small swirls around the top of the cake to create a heart outline. Sprinkle with FUNFETTI Valentine’s Day sprinkles.
