Gobble Gobble Turkey Cookies

Makes 48 cookies

These one-of-a-kind turkey cookies are as fun as they are delicious and the kiiddos will love to help put them together!

INGREDIENTS

1 package (16 oz) refrigerated PILLSBURY Ready to Bake! Sugar Cookie Dough (24 Count)

1 container PILLSBURY (1 lb) chocolate creamy ready-to-spread frosting

48 miniature chocolate-covered peanut butter cup candies, unwrapped

48 mini vanilla wafer cookies (for heads)

Decorations, as desired

Candy eyeballs

Orange and red gumdrop candies, cut into small pieces (for beaks and wattles)

Assorted candy sprinkles and mini candy-coated chocolate candies (fall colors) for features

DIRECTIONS

1.Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut cookie dough rounds in half; shape each into a ball. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased large cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 12 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack to cool completely.

2.Using photo as a guide, assemble turkey cookies. Spread chocolate frosting on top of sugar cookie and place small dab of frosting on wide end of peanut butter cup; attach to bottom of cookie.

3.Using frosting, attach decorations to vanilla wafer for head feathers, eye, beak, and wattles. Attach decorated vanilla wafer in upright position for head using frosting. Finish with tail feathers. Repeat for each turkey cookie.
