This Pumpkin MAKERfest: Kids 3-D Paper Pumpkin is easy to create and makes a great fall decoration.
YOU’LL NEED
Pumpkin Template (CLICK HERE)
Creatology Blunt Tip Scissors
Pencil
Creatology 9”x 12” Construction Paper: orange, green and brown
Creatology 20 Color Round Tip Washable Marker Set
Jumbo Elmer’s Disappearing Purple School Glue Stick
Creatology Chenille Stems, Kelly Green
DIRECTIONS
1.First, CLICK HERE to download the template; print out. Then cut out the pumpkin and leaf
shapes.
2.Trace the pumpkin pattern five times onto orange construction paper and cut out each shape.
3.Now, trace the leaf pattern onto green construction paper and cut out the shape.
4.Draw details onto the pumpkins and leaf with markers.
5.Fold each pumpkin in half, then glue four of them back to back to back using a glue stick.
TIP: Leave the last pumpkin detached until the last step.
6.Take a small piece of brown construction paper and twist it into the shape of a stem. Glue it to the open side of the attached pumpkins, as shown.
7.Cut a chenille pipe cleaner in half and wrap it around a pencil to make a coil. Slide it off and slightly stretch it out so it appears loose. Glue this next to the stem.
8.Glue the fifth pumpkin to the folded, attached pumpkins.
9.Glue the leaf next to the chenille pipe cleaner on the top of the pumpkin.
10.Fan out the sides and set your pumpkin down on your working surface. If your pumpkin doesn’t stand up on its own, close it back up and cut a straight edge along the bottom of the
