Makes 12 mini donuts

 

These mini donuts look so sweet and taste even sweeter, too…pretty treats for your Valentine’s Day celebration.

YOU’LL NEED

12-Cavity mini donut pan

Cooling grid

Disposable decorating bags

 

INGREDIENTS

You’re favorite mini cake donut recipe (enough for 12 mini donuts)

1 cup confectioners’ sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Icing, pink

Sugar Pearls, white

Nonpareils, white

Pearlized Jimmies, white

Mini dot matrix icing heart decorations

 

DIRECTIONS

1.Make mini donuts recipe, according to recipe directions.

Bake and cool mini donuts.

2.TO MAKE GLAZE: Combine 1 cup confectioners’ sugar, 2 tablespoons milk, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined. Divide into three equal portions.

3.TO TINT GLAZE. Using pink icing color, tint one portion light pink and another portion dark pink. Reserve remaining white portion.

4.TO DECORATE DONUTS. Prepare two decorating bags with some white and pink glaze. Set aside.

5.Dip tops of mini donuts into desired glaze.

6.Cut 1/4″ tip in decorating bags prepared with white and pink glaze. Drizzle some donuts with glaze in alternating color. Immediately top with sugar pearls, nonpareils, jimmies, and icing decorations. Let set (about 10 to 15 minutes).
