DIRECTIONS

1.Make pom-poms by wrapping yarn around your hand about 50 times. Gently slide the entire bundle of looped yarn off your hand. Be sure to keep the loops as still as possible so that you don’t disturb them.

2.Wrap a 10” piece of yarn as tightly as you can around the outside center of the bundle and tie a double know. The tighter you tie the knot, the fluffier your pom-pom.

TIP: Make sure you tie the. Yarn as close to the center as possible in order to make the pom-pom completely round.

3.Wrap a piece of red ribbon around the center, as well, to use as your ornament hanger.

4.With scissors, snip open all the loops on both ends.

5.Trim the pom-pom with scissors until it is nice and round.

TIP: Be carful not to trim away the tails of the ribbon of your hanger!

6.Wrap half a chenille pipe cleaner around a pencil (or pen) and slide the coil off to make your reindeer’s antler. Repeat for a second antler.

7.ADULT: Use a glue gun to attach the antlers to the top of the pom-pom, one on each side fo the ribbon hanger; then glue on the eyes, nose, and bow (if desired).
