DIRECTIONS

.First, paint the inside of the pumpkin with glow paint.

.Next paint the outside purple and the rim around the opening of the pumpkin with black paint. Set aside to let dry.

.Now, make your wooden witch! Paint the body of a wooden doll black and the face green.

.Using the back end of your paint brush, add dots for eyes. Set aside to dry.

.To make the tree, twist together black chenille pipe cleaners to make the tree trunk and roots. Continue to twist more black chenille pipe cleaners to the trunk to make more branches until you design a tree you like.

.To make the broom, cut a brown chenille pipe cleaner in half and then fold the half on half. Cut another piece to wrap around the bottom to make the broom fringe. Cut a small piece of black and wrap it around the area above the fringe.

TIP: Use the image as a guide.

.To make the witches hat, coil a black chenille pipe cleaner into a hat shape.

.To assemble your witch, first wrap a black chenille pipe cleaner around the neck and twist it in the back. Now, shape it into a cape.

.Add a dab of glue to hold to the hat and place it on your witch’s head. Hold in place for a few minutes so the glue can start to set.

.Use a dab of glue to attach the broom. Again, hold in place for a few minutes so the glue can start to set. Set aside to dry.

.Finally, add glittered polka-dots to your pumpkin. Pour a puddle of glue onto a paper plate and add a little water to thin out the glue. Use the round foam stippler to apply a dot on the outside of the pumpkin and sprinkle glitter over the wet glue. Repeat for as many polka-dots as you would like around the pumpkin. Let dry and shake off excess glitter.

.To assemble your scene, add some clay to the inside of the pumpkin. Place the tree and witch inside the pumpkin using the clay to keep them in place.

TIP: The clay will dry and hold the pieces in place.
