DIRECTIONS

1.CLICK HERE to print the Bunny Template and CLICK HERE to print the Egg Template.

2.Cut around both the outside and inside line of the icons’ shapes.

3.Lay the cut-out patterns on top of a piece of tracing paper. Trace around the inside opening of the shape with a pencil. Do not cut out.

4.Cut out 1″x1″ or larger squares from the tissue paper. You will need a lot of squares, so be sure to have plenty to choose from when before gluing.

5.Spread glue using the glue stick over a 2″x2″ section within the traced shape on the tracing paper.

TIP: If you go any larger, the glue will dry out before you can get the tissue down.

6.Lay tissue squares in the glued area, overlapping colors as you go. Try not to leave any blank space. Add glue and tissue squares until the entire shape is covered. Set aside to dry.

7.Trace the patterns onto black cardstock along both the inner and outer lines. Cut out around the outside as well as the inside to make the frame.

8.Apply glue to the back of the black cardstock shapes, and lay them each over a “stained glass” tissue area, lining up the outline with the black frame. Press down all around the frame. Trim the excess tracing/tissue paper from around the outside.

9.ADULT: Punch a hole in the top, center of the shape. Thread a 6″ piece of yarn through the hole to make a hanger and tie a knot. Trim the excess yarn.

TIP: To make this project easier for a younger child, eliminate the frame and cut around the shape outline after the tissue paper has been applied.
