*Combine Orange and Red-Red icing colors to get orange color shown. Combine Leaf Green and Lemon Yellow icing colors to get green color shown.
DIRECTIONS
1.Prepare cookie dough following recipe instructions.
2.Divide into three equal portions.
3.Tint one portion orange and one portion green using color combinations provided.
4.Reserve remaining portion white.
5.Roll out dough, 1/8 in. thick, one color at a time.
6.Using cutters, cut out cookies (you’ll need 2 cookies per sandwich).
7.Use pumpkin cutter on orange dough, Frankenstein cutter on green dough and skull cutter on white dough.
8.Remove eyes, nose and mouth pieces from top cookie. Leave eyes, nose and mouth in place on bottom cookie.
9.Bake cookies then let them cool.
10.Using black icing color, tint 1 1/2 cups icing black. Tint 3/4 cup icing orange and 1/8 cup icing green using color combinations provided.
11.Reserve remaining icing white.
12.Prepare decorating bag with coupler and black icing.
13.Prepare two decorating bags with tip 12.
14.Fill separately with orange and white icing.
15.Prepare decorating bag with tip 3.
16.Fill with green icing.
Decorate cookies
Pumpkin cookies – Attach tip 12 to black bag. Pipe icing on bottom pumpkin cookie, using spatula to smooth. Position top pumpkin cookie. Coat edges of cookie sandwich with nonpareils.
Pipe small dot of orange icing on stem of cookie, smoothing with spatula. Top immediately with nonpareils.
Skull cookies – Pipe orange icing on bottom skull cookie, using spatula to smooth.
Position top skull cookie. Coat edges of cookie sandwich with nonpareils.
Pipe white icing on top cookie, using spatula to smooth.
Switch black bag to tip 3. Pipe mouth on skull.
Place skull sprinkle in each eye.
Frankenstein cookies – Attach tip 12 to black bag. Pipe icing on bottom Frankenstein cookie, using spatula to smooth.
Position top Frankenstein cookie. Coat edges of cookie sandwich with nonpareils.
Using black icing with tip 12, pipe hair on top cookie. Switch bag to tip 3. Pipe mouth.
Pipe green icing on bolts, using spatula to smooth. Top immediately with nonpareils.
