Jack-O-Lantern Cake

Makes 24 cupcakes

 

This Jack-O-Lantern Cake is made with cupcakes so everyone can get Halloween treat.

INGREDIENTS

1 box PILLSBURY Moist Supreme Perfectly Pumpkin Cake Mix

Additional ingredients to prepare cake mix per package instructions 

2 tubs PILLSBURY Creamy Supreme White Frosting 

2 piping bags, small round piping tip & large open star piping tip of your choice

Orange food coloring 

Black food coloring 

Chocolate sandwich cookie 

 

DIRECTIONS

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease two 6” cake pans. Prepare cake mix according to package instructions and bake until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely. 

2.Take 1/4 cup of white PILLSBURY frosting and dye it black. Fit a piping bag with small round tip and fill with black frosting. 

3.Dye remaining frosting orange. Fit a piping bag with large star tip and fill with orange frosting. 

4.Stack your cakes with one layer of orange frosting in between. Make a “mound” of orange frosting at top of cake and smooth to give it a rounded top. 

5.Starting at the base pipe lines of frosting vertically all around the cake. Place the cookie at the top of the cake for the stem and draw your jack o lantern face with the black frosting.
