Nothing goes better with a delicious cup of hot cocoa than a fluffy, homemade marshmallow. Learn how to whip up some at home.

INGREDIENTS

4 envelopes of gelatin

2 cups water

4 cups sugar

1/2 tsp salt

3 tsp vanilla extract

Powdered sugar

Your favorite cookie cutters

 

DIRECTIONS

1.Soak 4 envelopes of gelatin in 1 cup of cold water. Set aside.

2.In a saucepan, combine 4 cups sugar with 1 cup of chilled water. Stir over medium heat until sugar crystals dissolve, and add gelatin from packets. Bring to a boil and stir.

3.Once it’s boiling, remove from heat, pour into a bowl & let cool.

4.Add 1/2 tsp salt and 3 teaspoons vanilla extract. Mix with a mixer until doubled in thickness.

5.Pour into a greased glass baking pan and let set.

6.Cut into shapes using cookie cutters and dust with powdered sugar.
