Makes 24 cupcakes
No mean ones here…these Grouchy Cupcake Cones are as sweet as can be for some fun holiday treats.
INGREDIENTS
1 box PILLSBURY FUNFETTI Holiday Cake and Cupcake Mix
Additional ingredients to prepare cake mix per box directions
24 ice jumbo cream cake cones (about 2 3/4”X4” tall with flat bottoms)
1-2 tubs PILLSBURY FUNFETTI Red Holiday Frosting
2 tubs PILLSBURY FUNFETTI Vanilla Frosting
Piping bags
Piping tip #2A and #18
Green and black food coloring
Candy eyes
DIRECTIONS
1.Heat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cake mix according to box directions. Grease muffin tray thoroughly. Spoon a scant 3 tablespoons batter into each muffin cavity without a liner. (Do not overfill.) Place an inverted cupcake cone on top of each cupcake.
2.Bake for 17 to 22 minutes. Cool completely in muffin tin before removing.
3.Tint one tub of FUNFETTI Vanilla frosting light green for the grinch’s face. Frost cooled cupcakes with a butter knife or offset spatula. Add two candy eyes.
4.Spoon FUNFETTI Holiday frosting into a piping bag fitted with an open piping tip #2A. Top with sprinkles from frosting lid. Pipe a swirl onto the top of the cupcake for the grinch’s hat.
5.Tiny 1/4 of the second tub of FUNFEETTI Vanilla frosting black. Keep the remaining frosting white. Spoon white frosting into a piping bag fitted with a small open star piping tip #18 and pipe the edging around the hat and add a small ball at the top. Use the tinted black frosting to add eyebrows with a piping bag without a tip.
