Makes 16 brownies
Yum, Yum & Yum!
1 3/4 cups Artisan Collection Extra Dark Morsels by NESTLE TOLL HOUSE, divided
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup butter
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, divided
2 large eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup heavy cream
1.Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a metal 8-inch-square baking pan and line with parchment.
2.Melt 1 1/2 cups morsels, sugar, and butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, stir constantly. Once melted, remove pan from heat and stir in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Let cool for 5 minutes. Transfer to a large mixer bowl.
3.Mix eggs into chocolate mixture using the paddle attachment; then slowly add the flour and salt. Mix until just combined. Pour batter into prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
4.Bake 18 to 20 minutes until wooden pick comes out clean. Place on cooling rack and let brownies cool completely.
5.Scald heavy cream in small saucepan over medium heat. Pour warm cream over remaining 1/4 cup morsels in a medium bowl; add remaining 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract and stir together.
6.Spread glaze over pan of brownies; let glaze set before cutting brownies into bars.
