FUNFETTI Unicorn Pull-Apart Cupcake Cake

Unicorn-themed parties are full of sparkle and shine…top off the festivities with this FUNFETTI Unicorn Pull-Apart Cupcake Cake.

INGREDIENTS

1 box FUNFETTI Strawberry Cake & Cupcake Mix

Additional ingredients to prepare cake mix per box directions

2 tubs FUNFETTI Unicorn Vanilla Frosting 

4 piping bags

Piping tips #1M, #6, and #10

Black, pink and purple food color 

Gold fondant

 

DIRECTIONS

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cake mix following the package directions. You will need at least 13 cupcakes. 

2.Let cupcakes cool and arrange in the shape of the unicorn head. With a piping tip remove center of cupcakes, set aside removed cake to replace after filling each cupcake with sprinkles. Re-cover with the cake pieces. 

3.Frost with one tub of FUNFETTI unicorn frosting, smoothing out with a spatula. 

4.Fill the #10 piping bag with white, #6 piping bag with black, #1M with purple and #1M with pink. 

5.Pipe a white outline on Unicorn head. Pipe a black smile, eyelid, and nostril. Use the pink and purple to alternate and make the unicorn mane.

6.Use the gold fondant to roll and stick in the top of the cake as the unicorn horn. Sprinkle the mane with unicorn sprinkles from the FUNFETTI frosting lid.
