Makes 8 to 10 servings

 

How many layers does it take for some Easter fun…four delicious layers for this delicious bunny cake.

INGREDIENTS

2 boxes PILLSBURY FUNFETTI Yellow Cake and Cupcake Mix

Additional ingredients to prepare cake mix per box directions

6 tubs PILLSBURY FUNFETTI Vanilla Flavored Frosting

Pink, yellow and green food dye

Bunny face and ear cake toppers

 

DIRECTIONS

TO PREPARE CAKE

1.Set oven to 350 degrees. Coat bottom of 8-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.

2.In a large bowl, beat one box cake mix, oil, water, and eggs per package instructions.

3.Pour batter into two 8-inch cake pans and bake for 34-38 minutes.

 

TO DECORATE CAKE

1.Divide one tub of frosting into two bowls and dye one bowl leaf green and the other yellow. Dye another tub of frosting pink. Spoon pink frosting into a piping bag fitted with a large star piping tip. Spoon yellow frosting into a piping bag fitted with a small star piping tip. Spoon green dye into a piping bag fitted with a leaf piping tip.

2.Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread top with plain vanilla frosting. Top with a second cake layer and spread top with plain frosting. Repeat with remaining cakes. Spread a thin amount of plain frosting over the top and sides of the cake. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.

3.Spread remaining plain frosting evenly over the rest of the cake. Press sprinkles from frosting tubs to the 1/4 bottom portion of the cake.

4.Pipe pink roses along the top of the cake. Pipe on small yellow flowers along the same area to fill in empty areas. Pipe on green leaves. 

5.Press bunny face and ear cake toppers onto cake and enjoy!
