Happy Birthday To You…celebrate with sprinkles and fun when you bake and make this birthday drip cake!

INGREDIENTS

Nonstick cooking spray

1 box PILLSBURY FUNFETTI Premium Cake Mix

Additional ingredients to prepare cake mix per box directions

2 tubs PILLSBURY FUNFETTI Vanilla Flavored Frosting

1 tub PILLSBURY “CONFETTI” FUNFETTI Chocolate Fudge Flavored Frosting

Piping bags

Piping tips (#3 and #1M)

Candles

 

DIRECTIONS

1.Prepare cake mix cake mix according to box instructions. Divide cake batter in three 6-inch cake rounds. Grease cake rounds and line with parchment paper for easy removal. Bake for 26 to 28 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean. Let cool completely; remove parchment and tightly wrap in plastic wrap. Freeze for several hours or overnight (the colder the cake, the easier it will be to work with).

2.Remove the tops off of each cake round for a flat surface. Place the first layer of cake upside down and spread a thin layer of FUNFETTI vanilla frosting. Add the next layer on top and add frosting. Add the third layer of cake and top with frosting. Frost the top and sides of the cake. Smooth it out (it doesn’t need to be perfect). Add sprinkles from frosting lids around the base of the cake.

3.Heat up the chocolate fudge frosting in the microwave in 10 second intervals, stirring in between. You are looking for a consistency that drips off a spoon slowly. If it is too warm it will be hard to control. Transfer to a piping bag fitted with a small round tip (#3). Pipe around the edges of the cake, piping in one place to create a drip. Cover the top with chocolate frosting then smooth out.

4.Transfer any leftover vanilla frosting to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip (#1M). Pipe stars around the edge (you can pipe one for each candle). Top with sprinkles from the lid of the frosting. Add candles and serve!
