These stockings are so cute and we have three designs that you can make today. Pick your favorite and get creating. Make one for each family member and give extras as gifts…but whatever you decide, make sure they are hung by the fireplace in time for Santa on Christmas Eve!

 

NOTE: *For all stockings, directions allow for 1/2″ seam allowance)

 

FOR STOCKING #1

YOU’LL NEED

2/3 yard each of polar bear fabric, lining, and fusible fleece

1/4 yard each cuff and fusible fleece

1/8 yard contrast for piping

1 package piping cording

1/2 yard white pom pom trim

Basic sewing supplies

 

DIRECTIONS 

1.Cut two each from stocking pattern: polar bear print, fusible fleece, and lining.

2.Cut two 7″x 17″ for cuff and one 7″x 17″ from fusible fleece.

3.Make piping from contrast fabric. Fuse fleece to front and back of stocking. Sew piping to front stocking.

4.With RST, stitch front and back stocking. Fuse fleece to one cuff. Sew piping to front of cuff.

5.With RST, stitch front and back cuff together at piping edge. Open up cuff and stitch side seam. Fold WST, and press.

6.Stitch pom pom trim to bottom of cuff.

7.Pin cuff to top of stocking having raw edges even.

8.Cut a 2 1/4″x 8″ strip for hanging loop.

9.Fold in half with RST and stitch a scant 1/4″ seam along the long edge. Turn and press. Fold loop in half and pin to top of stocking. With RST, stitch lining together leaving an opening for turning.

10.Place lining over stocking with RST and stitch along top opening. Stitch opening closed.

11.Insert lining into stocking. Topstitch along the top of the stocking.

 

FOR STOCKING #2

YOU’LL NEED

2/3 yard each holly print, lining & fusible fleece

1/4yd each cuff & fusible fleece

1/2yd red pom pom trim

 

DIRECTIONS

1.Cut two each from stocking pattern: polar bear print, fusible fleece and lining.

2.Cut two 7″x 17″ for cuff and one 7″x 17″ from fusible fleece.

3.Fuse fleece to front and back of stocking. With RST, stitch front and back stocking.

4.Fuse Fleece to one cuff. With RST, stitch front and back cuff together at long edge.

5.Open up cuff and stitch side seam. Fold WST, and press.

6.Stitch pom pom trim to bottom of cuff.

7.Pin cuff to top of stocking having raw edges even.

8.Cut a 2 1/4″x 8″ strip for hanging loop.

9.Fold in half with RST and stitch a scant 1/4″ seam along the long edge. Turn and press.

10.Fold loop in half and pin to top of stocking. With RST, stitch lining together leaving an opening for turning.

1/4 yard each cuff & fusible fleece

1/8 yard contrast for piping

1 package piping cording

1.Cut two each from stocking pattern: polar bear print, fusible fleece and lining.

2.Cut two 7″x 17″ for cuff and one 7″x 17″ from fusible fleece.

3.Make piping from contrast fabric.

4.Fuse fleece to front and back of stocking. Sew piping to front stocking. With RST, stitch front and back stocking.
