Easter Thumbprint Cookies

Too cute for words, these Easter treats bring an entire party of adorable animals to your spring celebration.

INGREDIENTS

Thumbprint Cookie Recipe (see below)

WILTON CANDY MELTS: Bright White, Yellow, Pink, Lavender, Black, Orange

WILTON Parchment Paper

WILTON Perfect Results Medium Cookie Pan

DIRECTIONS

1.Prepare Thumbprint Cookie Recipe. (recipe below)

2.Bake cookies. Remove from oven and immediately press Bright White, Yellow, Pink, and Lavender Candy Melts wafers, flat side up, onto cookies. Allow to cool completely on parchment. Chill for 10 minutes to allow Candy Melts candy to completely set.

3.Separately, melt 1 oz. each Black, Lavender, and Orange candy. Separately melt 2 oz. Bright White, Yellow and Pink candy. Place in disposable decorating bags with small hole cut, about 1/16”.

4.Pipe melted candy onto cookies to add details. Chill to set, about 5 minutes.

THUMBPRINT COOKIE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened

1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar

1 egg

vegetable spray

DIRECTIONS

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly prepare cookie sheet with vegetable spray.

2.In medium bowl, combine flour and salt. In large bowl, beat butter and sugar with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add egg; mix well. Shape dough into 1-inch balls, about 1 tablespoon per ball. Place on prepared pan and make indentation in dough with finger.

3.Bake cookies 12 to14 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
