Easter Bunny Topped Cupcakes

Hop to it and decorate your Easter cupcakes with cute bunny shapes made using WILTON Candy Melts candy. The brightly colored icing swirls top the chocolate cupcakes, making these treats worthy of a prominent display on your Easter dessert table.

INGREDIENTS

Favorite Chocolate Cupcake Mix (or Recipe)

WILTON Candy Melts Drizzle Pouch, Bright White

WILTON Icing Colors: Kelly Green, Lemon Yellow, Pink, Sky Blue, Violet

CELEBRATE IT Baking Cups, White

Disposable Decorating Bags by CELEBRATE IT

WILTON Cake Boards, 10” x 14”

WILTON 9” Angled Spatula

Decorating Tip, Open Star 2M by CELEBRATE IT

Wax Paper

 

DIRECTIONS

1.Prepare batter following package directions (or recipe directions). Bake and cool cupcakes in white baking cups.

2.Place bunny pattern on cake board. Cover with wax paper and tape in place. Melt candy following package directions. Place melted candy in a prepared decorating bag. Pipe ears and bodies first. Chill approximately 5 minutes. Pipe heads. Chill until set, about 5 minutes. Outline and fill in bunny shapes.

3.Divide icing and tint Yellow, Pink, Green, Teal, and Blue. Separately place icing in five decorating bags fitted with Tip 1M.

TIP: To tint icing as shown in project image:

   –  Combine Pink with a touch of Sky Blue for Pink color

   –  Combine Kelly Green with Sky Blue for Green color

   –  Combine Sky Blue with Kelly Green for Teal color

   –  Combine Violet with Sky Blue for Blue color

4.Pipe 1M rosettes on cupcake tops. Carefully remove candy bunnies from wax paper.

5.Position one bunny on each cupcake.
