.Paint nine clothespins to represent candles in blues and white. Make different shades of blue by adding white to blue paint. Let dry.
.Now paint additional details, such as stripes and dots, with contrasting blues and white. Let dry.
.ADULT: Cut a piece of corrugated cardboard about 13″ x 2½” [33 cm x 6.4 cm].
.Measure 2″ [5 cm] from each end and bend it back so that the strip can stand on it’s own.
.Paint the cardboard with the glitter paint and let dry. Add additional coats if needed. Let dry.
.Set up the base, then clip the candles onto the strip.
.Cut out flames from yellow construction paper and glue them to the top of the clothespins.
