PROJECT NOTES

When you’re crafting with little ones, keep an eye on the glitter and spangles, since these may present a choking hazard.

When making slime, protect your work surface with wax (or parchment) paper. You also may want to wear an apron (or other protective garment) to avoid slime-related accidents.

DIRECTIONS

1.Start by find your favorite clear glue slime recipe to use for this batch of Sparkly Pink Slime. TIP: Need some recipe ideas…CLICK HERE to check out some from ELMER’S.

2.Follow your recipe’s instructions to make a batch of clear slime. Mix in just a little pink icing color to turn it pale pink. TIP: Dip a craft stick into the icing color container, then mix the color into the glue, stirring thoroughly, until it’s completely blended. Always use a new, clean craft stick when dipping into your food coloring, in order to avoid cross-contamination.

3.Flatten out your slime on a piece of wax (or parchment) paper and sprinkle in just a little Silver glitter. Fold the slime’s edges in toward the center to blend the glitter into the slime.

4.Repeat this technique to add the tiny pink hearts, tiny iridescent white stars and larger magenta foil hearts from the spangle pack. Continue folding and stretching until all the mix-ins are evenly distributed throughout the slime.

TIP: When you’re done playing, make sure to store your slime in an airtight container (or a re-sealable plastic bag).
