Snowy’s Cool Candy Cane Bead Ornament

A sparkly, simple Christmas craft that kids will love—and they look adorable twinkling in a sunny window or hanging on a mini tree!

🧵You’ll Need:

  • Red pony beads
  • White pony beads
  • Pipe cleaners (white or red work best!)
  • Child-safe scissors
  • Ribbon or string for hanging (optional)

✂️Directions:

  1. Prep Your Pipe Cleaner
Cut your pipe cleaner in half if you’d like smaller candy canes, or leave it full size for a longer one. Bend a tiny knot at one end so the beads stay put.
  2. Bead the Pattern
String the pony beads onto the pipe cleaner in a red-white-red-white pattern. Keep going until it’s about ¾ full, leaving just enough room to bend the ends.
  3. Shape Your Candy Cane
Twist the open end to hold beads in place, then gently bend the top into a candy cane hook shape.
  4. Hang & Display
Loop a ribbon through the top if desired, or simply hook them onto window sills, trees, or gifts for extra sparkle!

Tips:

  • Want more shimmer? Use glitter beads or metallic pipe cleaners.
  • Turn this into a gift tag or ornament by adding a name with a mini label!
