Make waves with a DIY mermaid paper plate craft for kids.

YOU’LL NEED

CRAYOLA Colors of the World Premium Project Paper

CRAYOLA Project Vivid Colors Cardstock

CRAYOLA Markers

Pencil

CRAYOLA Scissors

CRAYOLA No-Run School Glue

CRAYOLA Glitter Glue

Scalloped-Edge Paper Plate

DIRECTIONS

1.Sketch mermaid head and body on Colors of the World paper. Cut out.

2.Trace hand on piece of cardstock. Cut out to create mermaid hair.

3.Glue mermaid body to handprint.

4.Sketch and cut out cardstock bathing suit.

5.Flip cardstock used to create bathing suit. Sketch and cut out eyes.

6.Glue bathing suit and eyes to mermaid. Let all glue steps dry 1 to 2 hours.

7.Add details to mermaid with markers and colored pencils.

8.Sketch half circles of various sized on scalloped edge of paper plate.

9.Color in half circles with colored pencils. Cut out.

10. Overlap and glue paper plate pieces together for mermaid tail. Glue tail to mermaid.

11.Add sparkly details to tail with glitter glue. Let all glue steps dry 3 to 4 hours.

12. Dive right into mermaid play for fun at home!
