Kids Upcycled Turkey Gratitude Box

It’s a handmade turkey that can hold all of your thanks and gratitude when you make this Kids Upcycled Turkey Gratitude Box.

YOU’LL NEED

Cube-shaped recycled tissue box
Turkey Template (CLICK HERE)
Creatology Blunt Tip Scissors
pencil
Craft foam: brown, orange, red and other favorite colors
Elmer’s Washable School Glue
Creatology Assorted Wiggle Eyes
White cardstock
Creatology Mini Wood Craft Sticks
20 Color Round Tip Washable Marker Set by Creatology
Paper plate (or paint palette)
Creatology Triangle Paint Brushes
Multi-Surface Premium Satin Acrylic Paint by Craft Smart, 2oz., Cocoa Bean

DIRECTIONS

1.Begin with an empty cube-shaped tissue box. Paint it brown and let dry.

2.CLICK HERE to download and print the template; then cut out the patterns.

3.Trace the turkey’s body and wing’s onto brown foam. Trace the beak onto orange foam and the wattle onto red foam. Cut out the shapes.

4.Glue two wiggle eyes to the turkey’s head, then adhere the beak and wattle. Finally, glue the turkey’s wings in place.

TIP: Use the image as a guide.

5.Glue the turkey to the front of the tissue box.

6.Glue feathers to the back of the tissue box.

7.Using markers or paint, make a sign for the turkey to hold! Cut out a piece of white cardstock and write your message on it. Now, glue it to a craft stick, then glue the craft stick behind the turkey’s wing.

8.Cut extra pieces of cardstock to write gratitude messages on and drop them into the tissue box!
