Greet your guests with this festive fall door mat to brighten your autumn days. Say hello to your favorite season of the year by hand-painting your basic door mat.

Door Mat

Masking Tape

Craft Knife

Extra Fine Black Permanent Marker

Scrap Paper

Pencil

DIRECTIONS

1.Trace the letters for “HELLO” in pencil onto scrap paper. Cut out each letter and place it on mat. Line up and tape each letter to make sure it stays in place.

2.Line up the “H” stencil on top of the traced “H”. While holding down the stencil, remove the scrap paper from beneath without moving the stencil on top. Continue with the rest of HELLO.

3.Tape off the bottom third of mat and make with Titanium White. Allow to dry.

4.Determine the size of “fall” and printout. Transfer “fall” to the stencil blank with black marker.  Cut out with craft knife. Stencil “fall” in Licorice.
