DIRECTIONS
- CLICK HERE to download and print the template.TIP: The template is oversized so you will need to tile the pages when you print. Align the tiles and tape them together; then, cut out both stars. Set the USA template aside.
- Trace the star onto your poster board and cut out the shape.
- Paint the star red and let dry. Add additional coats until you get the coverage you like, but be sure to let the paint dry in between each coat for best results.
- Brush Mod Podge Wash Out for Kids over your star then sprinkle generously with glitter. Shake off excess and let dry.
- Adhere the smaller star to the middle of the red star and decorate around it with foam stars.
- For the USA, turn over your template printout and on the back, scribble over the entire sheet using the side of the lead of your pencil. Now, turn it over and lay it onto a piece of blue construction paper. Trace the outside of the letters and it will lightly transfer onto the construction paper. Cut out the letters and glue them to the star.
- ADULT: Turn the star over so the back is facing up; then hot glue jumbo craft sticks to the back of the star to give the prop some stability.
- Finally, paint a jumbo craft stick red, white or blue and glue it to the back, bottom of the star.
