Makes 24 cupcakes

Christmas Candy Cane Cupcakes are a simple festive dessert to decorate the table.

 

INGREDIENTS

Favorite cupcake recipe

Wilton Open Star Decorating Tip #4B

Store-bought white decorating icing

Candy canes, crushed

Christmas decorative tip (optional)

 

DIRECTIONS

1.Mix batter according to box directions/recipe. Place the cupcake liners into your muffin pan and fill each liner 3/4 full (or divide boxed cake batter equally between 24) with the batter. Bake according to recipe directions. Cool completely.

2.Fill piping bag with #4B Open Star Tip and white decorator icing. Hold the bag straight up, with the tip a little above the cupcake. Squeeze as you move tip clockwise outside, moving inside. Lift tip up and away once in the center.

3.Sprinkle the crushed candy cane to the top of each cupcake.

4.If desired, top each cupcake with a cupcake Christmas pick.
