These Chartreuse Witch Cupcakes makes a witchy display for a Halloween treat that everyone will love.


Favorite cake mix or recipe

Wilton Decorating Icing, White

Wilton Gel Food Coloring: Green, Yellow, Brown

Gummy bats or Halloween candy (optional)

PLUS Wilton Star Tip #4B and decorating bags



1.Prepare favorite cake mix or recipe batter and fill cupcake liners 3/4 full. Bake according to recipe directions. Cool completely. 

2.Tint icing chartreuse color by adding a few drops of green and yellow, plus a drop of brown. Mix thoroughly, and add more (if needed) to achieve desired color. 

3.Fill decorating bag with Wilton Star #4B tip and chartreuse icing. 

4.To pipe swirl onto cupcake: Hold tip approximately 1/2 inch above cupcake top at a 90 degree angle to middle of cupcake surface. Squeeze out icing and, without releasing pressure, move in a clockwise circle around the outer edges. Work your way to the center of the cupcake, releasing pressure gently when you reach the center, to leave a nice peak. 

5.Top cupcakes with gummy bats or other Halloween candy decorations.
